We were well received in this B&B, the owners are very friendly and helped us to programe our days. The breakfast is great and the location is ideal to visit the west of irland including the cliffs and conemara park.

My mother & I recently stayed at the Oranhill Lodge B&B for two nights and we were delighted with the wonderful service Ann & Michael provide. Our room was immaculate as was the ensuite bathroom. The breakfast selection was one of the best I have experienced and I look forward to returning!

Excellent service and first class accommodation, it was so easy for us to find and a great service that the map was sent out prior to our arrival. A very friendly and welcoming place giving it a very family run feel. Excellent choices for breakfast and a very good knowledge of the local area and plenty of information about what is on.

Very nice B&B with helpfull and friendly staff and delicious breakfast. It's a good place to start exploring Gallway, Connemare and Cliffs of Moher.

Excellent B&B : la chambre au confort et à la propreté irréprochable, le petit déjeuner excellent, préparé à la demande (magnifiques pancakes !) et l'accueil des hôtes, très chaleureux. On recommande ! Il est situé à quelques minutes à pied du centre du village d'Oranmore où l'on peut dîner très convenablement au Keanes Bar and restaurant.

My friends and I spent 10 days in Ireland, which was fantastic. We stopped at Oranhill along the way and loved our stay. Michael we very helpful and his wife is an excellent cook. I recommend this to anyone!

We had a wonderful stay in this B&B that gave us a sense of rural living. One of our favourite evenings was walking to through the village and eating in Keane's where the locals treated us to some friendly banter. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Oranhill Lodge is simply a wonderful family in a beautiful home, and they are willing to share that with the public. The O'Neill's were absolutely wonderful with their approach to everything. They should be Ambassadors for Oranmore and County Galway. They home was extremely well kept. Light and clean. Roomy and good smelling. The sleeping conditions were excellent. And the food was pretty yummy too. My Son was sick and Ann went out of her way to make him some soup from scratch. Michael and Ann were quite helpful with regard to information, suggestions, and directions. The younger O’Neill’s also chimed and chipped in with advice and assistance. (As well as some lovely piano playing) A delightful group of hosts that obviously have followed a hospitality career with good reason. I highly recommend the Oranhill Lodge Bed & Breakfast and suggest that if you are even thinking about staying at another establishment in this area that you have another think first.

Great hosts and excellent breakfast! The room was clean, neat and had all we could ask for. The bathroom - which in B&Bs and hotels is often the sore point of the stay - was immaculate and the shower was one of the best I ever had. Perfect temperature and good power. If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely consider staying here again!

Während unserer Irland-Reise hatten wir in diesem schmucken B&B übernachtet. Unser Zimmer war zwar etwas klein, aber sehr sauber und modern eingerichtet, sogar mit einem großen Flachbildfernseher. Das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen war einfach super! Es gab eine reichhaltige Auswahl. Das Essen war sehr liebevoll angerichtet. Das B&B liegt etwa 15 Minuten (inklusive Stau) von Galway entfernt.

We had a wonderful stay at Oranhill Lodge. Ann and Michael were so friendly and very helpful! Chatting with them was like chatting with friends. The rooms were all so clean, including the bathroom, and I esp. liked the wood floors. The beds were comfortable. I think the place was full when we were there but you would have never known that, it was very quiet! I would definitely stay there again!

Very clean and very good breakfast. Very friendly and useful tips to travel around the area. Ann and Mike were great with our daughter. It's great, mainlly if you have kids. If we ever go back, we we´ll stay there again.

Oranhill Lodge is absolutely top-drawer as a B&B accommodation. We were a party of three, my husband and I and our adult son, so we booked two rooms. Ann and Mike, the owners, greeted us by name and showed us to two spacious rooms with beautiful bathrooms (hooray for good showers while traveling!) and lovely pine hardwood floors. Really comfortable beds--I slept very well both nights, something I don't often do while traveling. The couple were incredibly welcoming and were a great source of information and recommendations about the area and good choices for day trips, all of which were spot-on correct. The breakfast choices were more varied than many other B&Bs we have stayed in, and the food was excellent. Delicious Irish brown bread, "full Irish" breakfasts, and Ann's rolled pancakes are reason enough in themselves to return! Oranhill Lodge is a great, and in many ways a superior alternative to staying in the center of Galway. The guest house is in a lovely village (Oran Hill) just outside Galway, maybe a 10-minute drive at most to that city. The village has a nice selection of pubs, music and restaurants. It was also easy to get to Connemara and the Cliffs of Moher from the lodge. And, the house is away from typical bar and party noise, so it allows for a good night's sleep. All in all, Mike and Ann's Oranhill Lodge was a great B&B experience for us--I can highly recommend it and would certainly stay there again.

Excellent BB,one of the best we have stayed in.The room was spotless and to a high standard.The breakfast was excellent,we did need to wait awhile, but it was worth the wait plus nothing was a problem and it was made to order.The homemade bread was a lovely touch!keep up the good work!

We stayed for two nights in the Oranhill Lodge and really enjoyed the experience. The courtesy and friendliness were surpassed only by the excellence of the breakfasts. The location allows easy access to Galway City, Connemara or the Burren. We were a party of 4 staying in 2 Double rooms and the beds and facilities were comfortable and very clean. We would have no hesitation in returning if an occasion allows . Michael and Anne are gracious, friendly and very capable hosts. Full marks to the Oranhill Lodge.

You won't find a better B&B or more welcoming hosts than Ann and Mike at the Oran Hill Lodge B&B. Hightly recommended.

My fiancee and I stayed at Oranhill Lodge just outside of Galway the middle of March 2012. Honestly, it was the best place we stayed at during our 16 day Ireland vacation. What I really enjoyed was that this B&B was not just a building, but it was an actual family home. It made the entire time we were there warm and comfortable, because you could feel the love and compassion the family had for each other and for every one of their guests. When I made the reservation, I had mentioned that I was proposing to my now fiancee before our trip. When we arrived, we were greeted by the entire family who congratulated us and up in the room there was a handmade card saying even more happy things. It is these little personal touches that are evident throughout the entire house and your entire stay. Every morning, the breakfast that Anne would make was out of this world! The french toast and pancakes were our favorites. Her bread is this best we had in Ireland, especially the Brown Bread. Sweet, moist, crumbly, and with a perfect crunchy crust. My fiancee has been trying to mimic the recipe for the past month without success. Nothing has been as good as Anne's. (Truly addicting...my fiancee has had dreams about that bread!) When we would leave for the day, my fiancee was a nut and would clean up the room and make the bed and try to make it look like we never were there. When we would come back, the room was even more spotless than my fiancee could ever make it--and trust me, she tried! Anne would iron or press the linens AND the comforter to perfection. Not a single wrinkle or bump was ever evident. Honestly, I've tried to do that at home and, well, I'll leave that to the professionals. Lastly, I want to thank Michael, Anne, and their wonderful children for an amazing time in Galway. From recommending and even driving us to the pub for dinner (so we wouldn't have to try to find parking or risk driving after a few drinks), the wonderful hospitality, and making us feel like family, we thank you with all our Heart.
